Species Checklists

I want to photograph all the animals.
Not just any animals.  Wild animals.  Don’t get me wrong, I love zoos, aquariumsmenageries … truck stops… well, maybe not the last one, but there’s just something more exciting when you really find an animal out in its native (or invaded) habitat.

I’ve been meaning to start this project for a while now, so I’ve been documenting what I could and I’ll update the grayed out lists as soon as I get time.  The pages below will serve as my checklists/photo (Pokedex?) as I scour the world in an attempt to identify and photograph every animal.

I’m not quite certain how I’m going to keep track of all this yet.  For now, I’ll be just making a different page for each class of animals that I’m going to attempt to ID.  I’ll be (and have already begun) learning a lot about classification but for now, I’m going to try to stick to the taxonomic rank system you learn in elementary school (King Phillip Came Over For Good Soup).

Domestic Animals – And just because there are so many domestic animals we live with and around, here’s a list of domestic animals.
